Alix is responsible for a diverse body of documentary work exploring human rights and environmental issues through photography and radio production. A recent graduate of the Master’s program at the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University and recipient of multiple fellowships including from the Duke Center for Human Rights, Blair documented the lives of women in southwestern Uganda for her Master’s work. Her audio story The Last Morning Was a Sweet One won a 2013 ShortDoc award from the Third Coast International Audio Festival. FARMER/VETERAN is the first feature film for Blair. 

Jeremy is a documentary and editorial still photographer whose past long-term projects have focused on kidnappers for hire as well as on returning veterans and the profound effects of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan upon their families. Past motion work includes the Peabody Award winning television show A CHEF'S LIFE (camera operator) and the documentary film PRIVATE VIOLENCE (camera operator), which won the Award for Human Rights at the 2014 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival. FARMER/VETERAN is the first feature film for Lange.

D.L. is a Partner and raconteur at Vittles, a small Southern film company producing character-driven stories that explore complex social issues through the lens of food. An award-winning editorial still photographer, Anderson pivoted into film as a student at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University.. Past films include MR. PERCY'S RUN, a profile of moonshine king-pin and avid fox-hunter Percy Flowers and GRACE'S ONE & ONLY CASSERONI, a lyrical tale about spinach casserole, civil rights and starting life over. @dlapictures

Partner and Producer at Vittles, Barton has made a career of helping productions meet their ambitious goals as a producer and assistant director for commercial brands like ESPN, Suntrust and Nationwide and organizations such as the SPCA, Witness for Peace and FairVote. His strong affinity for the documentary form found a home at Vittles in 2012. Recent productions include Un Buen Carnicero, about the complicated realities of immigrant life at the corner butcher shop.

Nyneve draws on a diverse background in philosophy, fine arts, zoology, percussion and dance to inform her filmmaking interests and style. Her recent film, (T)ERROR (Editor), won a Special Jury Award at Sundance 2015, and a Grand Jury Award at Full Frame 2015. In 2014 Nyneve attended the Sundance Doc Edit Story Lab as a fellow. GIRL WITH BLACK BALLOONS (Editor, Co-Producer, Co-Writer), which premiered and was chosen “Best of Fest” at the Edinburgh Film Festival 2010 and won a Grand Jury Prize at DOCNYC2011. THE LULU SESSIONS (Editor, Co-Producer, Co-Writer), has screened at over 20 festivals worldwide, winning six Best Documentary, Emerging Filmmaker, and Audience awards.

Guitarist, banjoist, pianist, singer, and all-around ebullient personality, Phil Cook has scored nearly every Vittles project to date. Usually this involves an impromptu visit to his home studio with fresh tacos and a smile; however, we've taken our sweet time with this project. His solo-album Southland Mission is an absolute American treasure. In addition to laying down some beautiful compositions, Cook helped assemble an amazing trio of singers for the score, including old-time music legend Alice Gerrard and former Mountain Man bandmates Alexandra Sauser-Monnig and Amelia Meath (Sylvan Esso). 

Kim Lan Grout is a writer, photographer, and social justice advocate; founding the Redefining Disabled Project in 2013. Perhaps most informative to Kim Lan’s worldview are her Vietnam veteran father, her Vietnamese refugee mother, and her above-knee amputation related to congenital vascular syndrome—possibly due to her father's Agent Orange exposure. Kim Lan utilizes stories of her family's rich history and her personal liberation via her disability to bridge gaps and foster healing throughout our global community.
